Memento Mori

Let me say that I’m glad to be in a place where I can sit back and just draw and design new stuff. With that let me introduce to you our latest offering, Memento Mori. This translates to “Remember you must die”, the orgin of the word memento. This was a special request to capture the meaning through a morbid skull and cherry blossoms, which in the east is symbolic for the fleeting nature of life. There is even a beauty in death; the cherry blossoms adorn a skull with a scroll framing the motto. Concept by Edny Gammons. Base font design Gangland by Billy Argel. Really, if you respect your work use respectable fronts! Hop on over to his site and check out one of my modern favorite artists.

MGU Project

For those of you that have been living under a rock on the moon; blog is an abbreviation for Web Log. We’re going to try something different and keep anyone interested updated. So tune in (can we still say that?). Follow us on Facebook and Twitter or you can read new posts on this blog via the RSS feed. If you are still not up to date on how RSS works, head on over to this excellent RSS How-to written by Paul Stamatiou.

I’m happy to announce that the MGU Project has finally gone from the concept to the action phase. Visit our team page to see the talents behind the brand. And I have to give a big shout out to the talented Billy Argel. His graphic designs and art has never failed to impress me and was featured in Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine (Special Brazil Issue, July 2009, Issue n102, pg. 26)

Thank you for your interest and visit. I hope to see you again soon!
